Domain: Knowledge Production

Goal:
Achieving a leading national position in the field of chronic diseases based on international indicators.

General Strategies:

  1. Enhancing the quantity of scientific and research outputs
  2. Improving the quality of research
  3. Increasing researcher productivity

Approaches:

  1. Developing a strategic research roadmap for the center
  2. Conducting fundamental and clinical research to advance the country’s technical knowledge and address the needs of the scientific and medical communities
  3. Collecting, organizing, and classifying documents, articles, and records related to chronic and hard-to-treat diseases
  4. Attracting the attention and cooperation of relevant research and executive centers within the country
  5. Establishing scientific collaboration with international research and educational institutions

 

 

Domain: Education and Capacity Building

Goal:
Achieving a leading position in professional education and capacity building related to chronic diseases based on national indicators.

General Strategies:

  1. Expanding interdisciplinary fields
  2. Promoting research-based education

Approaches:

  1. Identifying educational needs and priorities at general and specialized levels in related fields
  2. Encouraging, motivating, and employing elite faculty members and researchers in this research area and related sciences
  3. Establishing joint collaborations with domestic and international experts
  4. Utilizing modern educational technologies in the field of chronic and hard-to-treat diseases
  5. Building capacity for providing study and research opportunities
  6. Training researchers in the control and treatment of chronic and hard-to-treat diseases
  7. Developing and implementing professional and short-term training programs

Achieving a leading position in the country in knowledge translation and transfer.

  2. Localizing technology in the diagnosis and treatment of chronic and hard-to-treat diseases

Approaches:

  1. Designing and developing innovative service delivery models in the field of chronic diseases with a focus on local research
  2. Building capacity for two-way communication with doctors and specialists in the field of chronic diseases
  3. Building capacity for two-way communication with service recipients
  4. Establishing a chronic and hard-to-treat disease network for patient follow-up and providing updated diagnostic and treatment strategies to healthcare centers and physicians
  5. Maintaining a strong presence in digital media and using it to achieve communication goals
  6. Delivering the latest scientific information produced in the field of chronic and hard-to-treat diseases to stakeholders through seminars, conferences, workshops, and mass media
